as the title says what stem plant depends on light the least and still thrives and looks good, im after a green stem not a red one

thanks

you could look at Hemianthus micranthemoides, it has grown ok for me in the past, does go a bit leggy with lower light but normally it is behind hardscape so is ok.

Try any ones that you wish. Give them enough ferts and they should be OK.

Dave.

Can't believe all the suggestions above. Elodia/Egeria is by far the easiest and fastest!!!

There's no way anyone can tell you what looks good as that is down to personal preference.

Egeria looks good to me but to others doesn't. I don't use it though as it grows too fast and wouldn't suit my scapes.

"The City of Chicago Outlaws Egeria densa AKA Anacharis"
Too bad for me.
Pennywort and wisteria are doing ok for me.

thanks for the replies guys... i think i will get a few diff species and see whats best with the nutrients i am giving it

I've found things like cabomba can be annoying if leaves come off, at least with hygro they're big and easily taken out.
