easier to pull the foil out of the shaker, than the bottom of the aquarium...

one of my pet preaves is when the foil push through covering, on frozen brine shrimp, or bloodworms, detaches from the packaging, and ends up in my shaker, and I don't notice it, and they end up in the aquarium... it's been months since that has happened, but of course I was in a hurry last night, and this morning I see two of them, one each in 2 tanks.... both are in a bad place to get them with the long tweezers ... my snail catching filter should be complete this next week, so maybe a gravel vacuum water change next week... may be the easiest way to get them out???

one went into my African tetra tank, a top tank, and 24 inches deep, but according to @GaryE ... maybe that will just make them feel at home???

I seem to recall you can't reach into the tanks. I would use a long handled fish net and haul up some gravel too, sort and dump back in. Foil would be hard to 'pinch'.

I never used that type of frozen food - I always got big blocks.

I suppose the shiny silver is better than clear plastic, that I likely would never get out...

convenience packaging???

Okay, I mentioned old clothes and wrecked vehicles in the parts of streams we could access, but in the woods thirty feet back of the road, the conditions were clean! There would be as much garbage in any North American stream, if not more.
If you follow the road in front of my house for 2 more km, there's a great tourism site. So cars go by in a fairly steady stream on nice days. The amount of McDonalds garbage alone I pick up in front of the house and on the edge of the graveyard across the road - all fast food places contribute drink cups, and coffee cups, and other places add vaping stuff, weed containers, cigarette butts, wrappers, bottles - people the world over somehow justify throwing things out car windows. I don't get the mindset, but it's real.
