H i recently added some more tropical plants in to my tank and the plants i had in there (which were only ment for ponds or cold water aquariums, which they didnt tell us) just went yellow and died when b4 i added the new plants were healthy and since then i have lost 3 fish, i have tested the water and everything seems fine. can some one help me?

ummm i could not understand your post too much but if you left the plants inside the tanks to die, and your tank is a bit new then it might have caused ammonia or nitrite spikes thus killing of a few fish.... something like that... orrr the tank is still new and the fish were introduced into the aquarium too early

By cold water plant I presume you mean Elodea which I don't think should die in warm water I know that it does all right in my tank. Just like I have some so called tropical plants flourishing in my small coldwater tank with no help apart from a bit of plant food.

Are they pacifically meant for a fish tank? If not this could be your problem. They may be toxic.

I removed the plants since then my fish have been fine and so have the new plants I am just going to avoid buying those old plants again for some reason i dont think the person at the lfs know what he is on about in the plant department :/
