Hi there,

Sorry, I'm only new to this myself, but my initial reaction would be to quarantine any suspect fish and treat for internal parasites...Interpet 12 for Anti Crustacean Parasites might be one you could Use. If you are treating the whole tank, please be aware that this particular medication can kill off your bacteria in filter. Always read the instructions on the bottle & pamphlet that goes with it.

However, before doing anything rash, have you browsed online to see if you can find anything similar to this so you can post up a link?

Or take a picture of the dead fish so the forum can see the fishes condition and perhaps be able to diagnose?

To be honest, I would try posting up this same post in the 'medical emergency' section of this site as it might bring you the urgent answer you need? (If you haven't done this already)

Make sure you post up all your exact water stats in figures...i.e ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, what filter you are using, and any other details that might be important.

The guys on the emergency section are far more experienced and much better to advise...

Best of luck.

Actually on seconds thoughts..the Interpet No. 12 may not be the right treatment to use, as I'm thinking perhaps its only for tropical aquarium use, however, something similar to this for cold water goldfish might be answer.

Thats why you need to speak to the experts eh!!!

But for example, here is a helpful link just to give you an idea of what you might be dealing with and what you can do to treat.

Ok, I'm bowing out now, as I don't want to give bad/incorrect advice inadvertently. But if you can, try and get a picture online of what type of worms you are talking about...it would make diagnosing and treatment so much easier.

Good luck ...again. Hope it all works out for you :good:
