tank size 260 ltrs
slight traces of nitrite and nitrate
ph low
kh 10

tank set up for about 12 months

gouramis, swords, plecs cats, sharks, rams, kribs, mollies, rosy barbs

In last fortnight have started losing fish for no apparent reason. Lost 2 rosy barbs in last 24 hours, one was swimming upside down the other just dyed. One ram did have white fungus on head but rest had no apparent disease. Have lost 4 paradise fish 2 rosy barbs,1 ram, 3 female guppies, 1 krib.

I do 25% water change every 10 days.

I am a novice but I have advice from the shop where i bought all my fish and I follow what they tell me.

Dont know if I am doing something wrong but would like to correct it as I dont want to lose any more fish

Can anyone help me

have you tried ammonia test? could be ammonia is present. introduced new plants? or new ornaments? the ph could be a factor, perhaps a slight increase is warranted? white fungus on head is not a good sign, but may be unrelated. discussed this with your pet shop? there are remedies available. one i have used recently (the lot was going into stress a bit) was tonic salts, a product readily available from pet shops. hope this comment helps.
