Hi
I have had a 96 litre litre tank up and running for about 3 months now. This is not my only tank. I have a 180 litre, a 240 litre tank and a baby 28 litre tank as well.
The 96 litre had a blue and gold gourami in. I decided yesterday to put them in my 240 litre and went and bought 6 harlequins and 2 tiny ancistrus for the 96 litre. I did a 20% water change prior to acclimatising them. 2 harlequins died within 4 hours and this morning the only survivor is 1 ancistrus(about 1.5 inches long)
The water stats are: ammonia 0, nitrites showing as 0.2, nitrate 25, ph 8 ( has always been).
I have done a 25% water change this morning, giving a good gravel wash.
What shall i do now? Shall i put a couple of baby mollies in from my 180 litre to keep it cycled? And what on earth caused the deaths? It seems odd for all 6 to die from stress. Yet, i don't think the water is that bad to have caused the deaths???
Please help :(

the ph is pretty high. do you know the lfs ph where u bought them from? ph fluctuations can have very bad results on fish if not slowly acclimated

The lfs has the same ph. Checked yesterday.
I put 2 baby mollies in there yesterday. Got up this morning to a really cloudy tank. Stats are good. Am 0
Nitrites 0, nitrates 15
Mollies are still alive but i can't understand the cloudiness. Any ideas?
I have put new carbon in the filter today.
