Dying Danios

Surprised the neons are doing well as they are not hardy fish at all.
They need matured tank of six months.
Just water changes daily and increase aeration.
Do you have any friends who keep fish that have a mature filter sponges they could give you.

None that have admitted to keeping an aquarium!!

Ok.
Could try and post in that link and see if anybody can offer you a mature filter sponge.

Danio are hardy but nearly all fish won't cope in cycling tanks as stress weakens there immune system.
Also cycling tanks burns there skin and gills.

All danios now sadly departed

All water readings are as they should be - bought the chem kits. All remaining fish are still absolutely fine.

Even the fish expert over the road can't explain it!

I'm going to leave the filter & water for a week but keep checking the water properties before adding any new inhabitants.....
