with my gravel substrate and primitive CO@ system, I have abandoned all attempts at foregrouns of glosso, chain swords, and dwarf hairgrass (jusry still out on this one). I have added about 4 patches of dwarf sag to the front of the tank. Just after my foreground area, which is about 2 to 3 inches from the glass, wood and stone gives it the appearance of a higher level. So, even though the sag may by a little high, if it does not grow too much more, it will look perfect in the foreground. Can I expect this the reproduce along the front of my tank, and is it a good foreground option given the depth after the foreground area? My one concern is that this plant will grow too high, blokcing out beautiful elements of my tank.

I'll post a pic of my tank tomorrow so you can see what effect you will get
