Dwarf Rainbow Fish, Hc, Black Outs And Melting

hello, I recently bought some drawf neon rainbowfish and was wondering if they are plant safe, since putting them in alot of my moss seems to have been eaten and I cant think of any reason other than that they're eating it, also are they suitable for my tank which is currently only 18x 12 x 12?

I recently ran a black out and when I uncovered my tank i have a staghorn invasion what is the best way of getting rid of this other than just keep removing it and upping co2?

Also alot of Hc and Mu as well as some small e tennelus plants have started to melt alot of them seemingly without reason its been a week since the black out which only lasted 4 days and ive been dosing ei and not seen any improvements any ideas?
also would a second black out help to get rid of the last bits of blanket weed that i have left behind?

Neon rainbows should be plant safe, I've had them with plants before no problems. They don't get much bigger than 1-2" so should be OK for you tank.

Staghorn is easily dealt with by overdosing excel.

If those plants are melting it could be a light issue, whats your current light schedule?

Blackouts only really work on BGA, they don't affect anything else.

Thats ok then, next time im in stoke ill buy some excel.
my current light schedual is 8 hours from 11 till 7 I was going to up it to 10 hours but didnt dare incase I caused another algae bloom.
and yeah I did send you some hc sorry the clump was so small I did a replant of my own stuff and had less spare than pre-blackout, hope you don't mind.
did it arrive ok?

I might be looking for and alternative to HC soon, Hc makes me too frustrated its SO difficult to grow and I personally thought I'd done everything right.
