I just love these guys, even if they're a pain in the butt to feed
So far they only eat live white worms.
Think they're a pair? They're juvies, so I'm not sure, but I think the fact that I can tell the difference between the two at a glance is a clue...

Awwww! I love DP's, they're so adorable.

They only take worms, not snails?
The only bite-sized snails I have are trumpet snails, and their shells are too hard... I've noticed that the feet of my large ramshorn snails have tiny little bites out of them, though!

I'm going to try to get some pond snails from my LFS, but they haven't had much of a snail problem lately.

is it just me or is one of your puffers really pale. I had a pair and one of them was pale like that. Maybe that is how you sex them. I have no clue

No, to sex them you look at the place behind their eyes. If they have wrinkles then its male. also, if it has a line on its stomach, its male. I think.

*nods* ... puffer_freak is right there. Males have wrinkels behind their eye (noticable when young as well, plus yours dont look That young anymore :p I think they're actually quite close to their mature size. Unless ofcourse, the pics are very decieving). They do look adorable and Very healthy though!! So looks like they've fine on white bloodworms :p

Mine only eat red bloodworms and they've started to take live dapnia as well (snails ofcourse do get eaten as well) ... the rest of the food they completely ignore.

Also, even if you do have a male & female ... chances of them being a "pair" are very slim. I know mine absolutely hate eachother =/ Though, I put a divider in there now, and they seem to be fine as neighbours ... they even do mysterious house swaps :X I'll come upstairs and they're suddenly on the other side of the tank! But never together, always 1 on 1 side.

Thanks for the input guys! But yeah, I think the pics are deceiving, because they're about 3/4ths of an inch long each.... plus, they aren't fighting yet at all, so I'm assuming they're juvies, hehe :p

The one that looks pale in the pics is actually pretty dark normally, but it apparently didn't like the camera flash and paled for the pictures. The other is naturally darker, though. I'm not expecting to breed them or anything, but I was hoping to get a male and a female just for the heck of it
