looking at these for my African river tank... maybe 6 of them... they are available at 3/4 of an inch ( that's how big most of my Cory's have come in, then they grow fast... the Dwarf Petricola is supposed to be max size of about 3 inches... anyone raised them before??? Thoughts or suggestions???

are they likely to eat my Armano shrimp, when they get bigger???

That is a very cool looking fish! When people think of African tanks, they usually have one of three very different habitats in mind: East African rift valley lakes, the Congo rainforest, and west African ponds, ditches, and the like. Of course that's just scratching the surface of such a huge continent, but those seem to be the three I hear the most about.

I saw a lot of Synodontis in slower rivers in Gabon, but in moving rivers, none. There we got Phractura cats, in huge numbers.

Upside down cats in the hobby can be a lot of different species, some of which turn into honking big beasts. They can be hard to tell apart when imported young. I've had nice ones that stayed smallish and did well, and others that grew and grew and had to be auctioned off as they took over their tanks.

I saw some really pretty Synodontis in my travels, and they all got left where they were.

They are absolutely not Cory like in any of their behaviour.
