The stomach area, just above the pelvic fin of one my DNR seems to be bloated and I've noticed that he's started spitting out the flake food I put into the aquarium. In the past I've fed him small bloodworms and I'm worried that they have got stuck inside of him.

What can I do to sort this problem out?

Water parameters:
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 15ppm
PH: 7.2
Temperature: 30 degrees C (Heater set at 27 C)

Have you tried not feeding for a few days, then feeding boiled and shelled peas?

No I haven't. I'll stop feeding tomorrow, and then try feeding some peas a few days later. I'm not sure a shelled pea will fit in it's mouth.

Is there anything else that will speed up the passing of whatever is stuck?

Boiled and shelled peas are soft, you can easily break them up into smaller pieces.

There is nothing else that I know of.
