dwarf gouramis

hi all. purchased two dwarf gouramis yesterday and added them to my tank in sig..... they seem pretty shy but i have been rold this is mainly normal?!......
however this evening i found the male lying on his side still alive! both seem very lethargic but seem to be ok.
i tested water and ammonia is at 0.25 where as everything else is ok. i did a water change and will carry on with water changes til ammonia is at 0.... will the gouramis be ok?

Just keep an eye on the one laying on i's side as thats no good news, do they look bloated.

i did my weekly water change and stupidly left filter unplugged.... ammonia and nitrIte have soared. i expect to lose one of the gouramis and some neons.... one of my platties keeps picking at the female gourami is this normal? i am gonna do daily water changes til they are both at 0 again
