Hi all,

Sadly I lost my first fish last night, a dwarf gourami. I've had my tank several months, fully cycled etc!

My question is, should I get another one to keep my remaining dwarf company?

He is a red dwarf and I was thinking about going for a blue/red one? Would they get on ok?

If it is a male dwarf then don't get another male. Males will squabble and it'll get much worse if one finds a nice place to build a bubble nest...

If you want to keep him company then 2 females would be more appropriate. They'll need hiding places, the 2 females, as the male can be a bit aggressive toward them both.

I'd maybe recommend not getting another, if it's a single male, he might be better off on his own.

A few more details about your tank might be an idea next time. Sizes/Volumes etc...
