Hello. I am new to this forum and have only been keeping tropical fish since November.

I had a partial power failure while on vacation and my tank tempereature went down to 74. I normally keep it at 80 and change 25% of the water weekly.
My platties and mollies seemed fine but my dwarf gourami has developed white patches and some fraying of fins.
The fish all get along but there is some competition and nipping at feeding times.
The gourami, Rupert, is my latest addition and I have only had him 4weeks but he was from my LFS and I have had no prior problems.
He seems to have fungus but I am not sure what kind as I understand there are two different types.
He is in my small isolation tank with temperature at 81.

I treated him with Jungle Fungus Clear and Maracyn for a week but there was no change.
He has been on Pimafix and Melafix since yesterday and I changed 60 % of his water. I also added Maracyn and Maracyn 2 as I saw some internet information that using these in combination was effective for a broad specturm of fungal problems.

I have been watching him closely for any distress from the multiple medications and he seems no worse and is still eating.
I do not want to lose hime as he is a very cute little guy.

My main tank has been running since December. I did a fishless cycle with ammonia, then added biospira before adding fish.
30 gall
2 -adult platties, 3 adult mollies. normally 1 dwarf gourami, multiple platty and molly fry between 2 weeks and 10 weeks old(all doing fine). Most will go to LFS.
Eclipse 3 series filtration and lighting.
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20 ppm
Moderately hard slightly alkaline water
Ph around 7.5
1 tbs aquarium salt per 10 Gall for mollies and platties
Food - tropical flakes, Algae wafers, also frozen brine shrimp and occasional peas for treats.

I test the water weekly with master test kit and in between with strips.

The isolation tank is only 3 gallon but has same water parameters. It is not cycled as it has not held fish for 2 months so I check water daily and change 50% if I see any change.

I would really appreciate any advice on whether I am doing the correct thing here as I think this is body fungus and I do not know what else I can do.

I have a photo. Its not very good but you can see the patch on his side, on the top of his tail fin, and also the fraying at the bottom of his tail fin and back of his bottom fin. The patches look reddish but that is just my camera. They are definitely just white.
Sorry for the log post but I wanted to give as much information as possible.

Sorry you've not had a reply of yet, perhaps posting the emergency section would have been better, that forum gets more traffic. Anyway, sounds like you have it covered, clean water is probably the best thing for him. Is he any better?
