So I bought two Dwarf Gouramis and they done fine for about 3 weeks. Then slowly around their heads they started to have a blue tint to them. It gradually got worse showing up between the orange stripes on their body. I wake up the next morning and one died and then a few days later the other one died. Does anyone have an idea what this may be? They were my favorite fish. Sorry, I don't have any pics though as this happend before I ran across this site.

There are lots of problems with dwarf gourami stock.

Do a search of this section of the forum for dwarf gourami and you will see what I mean.

Did you notice any ulcers at all?

No I didn't notice any, they just got a really blue tint to them and would isolate themselves and just act really "lazy". Wouldn't eat or anything. At first I thought they were just spawning because I know they get more vibrant in color, but I guess I was wrong. Also, what causes these ulcers? I have a Blue Gourami and noticed he had an ulcer right next to one of his gills. It gradually got better and disappeared, but never knew how it got there.
