I have 3 DG, 1 male and 2 female... both females are very plump and the male has made a large bubble nest... However the females just dont seem interested, is their anything i can do to provok them, or is this normal and takes a while... the nest had been their for about 48hours now. The only issue i see is their is quite alot of current in my tank, its a juwel 125 but with a upgraded head in the filter to 1000l/hr. I have been trying to find suitable pipe from B&Q and things to make a spray bar to minimise the "swirl" effect but no luck... any idead would be great? cheers

P.S. I have a few stings/pontoons of floats with plants on across 1/4 of the tank where the nest is situated

If the nest is large and is not getting destroyed, it not the flow. However the females will only spawn when they are completely happy with the nest, how long has it been is he displaying himself to them

They have spawned, hatched and now have rescued some fry with egg yolk still attached, now in the sperated tank, what do i feed them when the yolk sack is used?

I imagine if there big enough you can feed them crushded up flake food and live foods such as freshley hatched brine shrimp

They are super tiny... i was suprised how small, i have baby platys and things which where huge in comparison... i have went and bought some liquifry, but when its all used up i'll just make my own thing up next time i need some.

Decapsulated brine shrimp eggs are good once they've grown a little bit, my cory fry are doing well on that so far

Spray bar fitted and sorted... so the current is tamed and 2nd large nest is already built... my gouramis are turning into egg laying beasts! especially how its a community tank too.
