Hi ,
I have a 126ltr with a 250ltr rated external filter. Current inmates are:

2 off Pearl Danios
2 off Zebra Danios
2 off Golden Danios
2 off Grenn Tiger Barbs
2 off Tiger Barbs
2 Albino Tiger Barbs
5 off Cory Julii
2 off Platy

Im looking for centre piece fish. Would a pair of Rams (or 1m 2 f ) be ok in the set up?
I have lots of plants & bog wood

Any comments appreciated!
Many thanks
Simon

I have 3 rams in a community tank, and other than bullying my angelfish (who is obviously much larger than they), I have no problems with them getting along. For the most part, they leave everyone else alone, unless they're bullied first.

i would say definitely but for the tiger barbs. they might worry the rams to the point that they die. what have you seen some and they are nice?

Sounds fine to me, I've had rams, apistogramma, kribs and nannacara all with barbs before no probs, if youre worried then plants are always great with dwarf cichlids.
One note apistos and nannacara prefer trio's or more rams and kribs (i think kribs correct if im wrong) prefer pairs, with a tank your size you could take either 2 pair of rams no probs or one pair rams and a pair/trio of another dwarf else

HTH
