Dusty Water

I have 3 fighters. There is dust falling on the top of their water. We change the water every week but I am concerned, will the dust hurt them?
I know its probably a silly question, but I just want them to be in good health. We do not have a filter, but do not need one.

Depends what is in teh dust.Why not just cover the tank??
