I think I need some co2 in the tank to help my yellow limp plants grow. I don't want to pay £200 for an injection system, would rather not build my own, but found a cheap one here.

Does anyone know if it's any good?

I'd go for a DIY system now as its so easy. If your after a system you can go out and purchase you might want to consider the Hagen nutrifin system? But if your tank is quite large you might require more than one unit like i do and therefore that costs more. I just didnt want to be dependant on a CO2 unit that relied on the manufacturer making the refills.

I had considered a DIY one, but have heard they only last for 7-14 days before a refil. The commercial one claims a life of 30 days. Purely for convenience I would consider the commercial one, but and cynical enough to doubt any figures they provide.

What's a good life for a single filling in a DIY kit? I hear the ingredients in the mixture make a lot of difference.

Would you trust the claims for the commercial one that it lasts 30 days?
