I currently have seven harlequin rasboras that school nicely, but I was wondering if I could add another school to them seven that I currently have.

I was thinking blood-fin tetras because the red would provide a nice contrast and wouldn't get large like other schooling tetras.

Any others that would go well with a planted aquarium?

Rummy Nose Tetras are one of my alltime favourite schooling fish! When they have the right conditions their noses will be bright red and they school all day long!

this issue can depend on the many factors, for example i have a school of 17 congo tetras living with 6 SAE (they scholl quiet abit, but they arent schooling fish). For majority of the time they are grouped, but often break off from each other from time to time depeding on situations, such as feeding time, or male competition(mating behaviours)

2 types of schools will work and yes, i have seen it myself (in big tanks).
Main factors such as size of tank and temperment/species of fish will greatly contribute to how things will work out in the aquarium.

and also, "will the fish feel threatened?" this is what causes schooling, as it is a defensive mechanism
