A few of one of my juvies' scales seem to be sticking out. It's seperated into a breeding trap right now, none of the others seem to have scales sticking out. I can't tell with the fry, they're too small to tell.

Last night one died, but the body was too gnawed on to tell what it was (I just found him a couple minues ago). On trying to get him out, gravel moved over him and I have yet to take something in there to scoop him out with.

Basically, am I dealing with Dropsy, though only a few scales seem to be sticking out?
As soon as I have a ride out, I plan to get some dropsy medication.

Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Water is Soft
pH is 7.0

I don't know the /exacts/ as I need more test strips as well >.>

You could try an epson salt bath, it helps draw the fluids out, but once the scales stick out that the last stage of the desease, organ failure, good luck.

should I treat anyway, just to prevent the others from coming down with it?

And (once I move the Pleco to the temporary tank) how should I administer the salt? drop it in?
