I'm pretty sure my sunset platy has dropsy. His scales are popping out and he is really bloated. He either is just sitting at the bottom or is at the top for air. I Haven't moved him to another tank yet but I'm going to do it today. What kinds of medication should I use. I already have Pimafix. Will this help? or should I get something else.

The tank is 55 gallons and all water conditions are normal. I have 1 common pleco, 3 rasboras, 1 fancy guppy, 1 sunset platy, 9 black skirt tetras, and 1 zebra loach.

Once scales stick out organ failure they never seem to recover and make it when scales stick out.
Pimafix is no good on dropsy is for fungus.
If you want to try and save the fish its down to you anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Epson salt baths are meant to help draw the fluids out.
Sorry united states maracyn plus.

DON'T MOVE IT..the release of cortico-steroids and adrenaline from the catching are too much for seriously ill fish to hande!!!
