I am experiencing my first case of dropsy and I'm panicking like a gud 'un.

It's in my male guppy, stats are fine PH 8.2 (which it has always been) Ammo/Nitrite 0 Nitrate 20. He's just looking a little fluffy, his scales are stuck out, but feeding/swimming fine.

The only medication I have is meth blue, Pimafix and Melafix.... oh and a velvet medication.....oh....and some aquarium salt. Would any of these help him, and will he die??

I did notice a few days ago one of my neons died, I counted them at night and then next night it was dead and half eaten, would this have something to do with it?? -_-

I've done so well for quite a long period without anything dying and now it's starting again.

I do a water change/gravel vac once a week and check the stats 2/3 times a week.

Once scales stick out organ failure, all there is to do is an epson salt bath.
Do you mean the scales have fluff on them.

No, not go fluff on them he just looks fluffy and swollen. Poor thing should I 'get rid' of him if there isn't anything I can do.

I did a 20 litre water change yesterday and replaced with salt water, how often should I do this?

Thanks Wilder

look at the fish in question from above if the scales stick out and it's kind of like a pine cone the only thing you can do is as Wilder stated a epsom salt bath. If you can isolate the fish if it's in with other fish would help to not affect the other fish. The PH to me seems a Little higher than usual however Im not sure for guppy water conditions
