I am using a drop checker to monitor c02 levels in my tank, using the 4dkh solution and it goes green ok but but stays green overnight with co2 off.I have no co2 leaking into tank and have very slight surface movement so i would of thought it would go blue,is there anything else that could affect the colour?
thanks

If there is minimal surface water movement then it could well just be that the co2 doesn't drop very much at night. Also remember that as night plants take up O2 and release CO2, so that could help keep the CO2 levels up.

If you want to know id the DC is working correctly take it out of the tank and leave it for a day, if it turns blue then at least you know its working as it should.

One tip, when you wash it out, give it several cleans with the 4dKH water before adding the reagent. I found using tap to clean it must have left a KH residue that affected the KH for the 4dKH water to the extent that it went green instantly on adding the bromo blue, when it should actually go blue first.
