Driftwood

Anybody have any ideas as to how I can get my two pieces of driftwood to sink. I've had them soaking in a bucket for two days now and when I remove the lid they just float right to the top.

weigh it down with a rock or something

I put a piece of slate on the front and back of the piece of slate that was attached to my piece of driftwood to keep it down. Mine is almost done being saturated two weeks later. lol,

I'd soak them longer, 2 days isn't really enough.
