Driftwood Plant?

I have a lily plant that has a nob as its root. Is this a driftwood plant?

Do you know what kind of lily it is? If its one of the lotus type then it'd probably grow better in the substrate and would benefit from some root ferts like root tabs or plant substrate.

Doesn't sound like a lily, can you post a pic? Plants with white areas on their leaf tend to be non-aquatic. If so it'll die within a few months so best remove it now. Would need a pic or link to a pic to confirm.

Does it look a bit like this?
