Drift Wood

hi been offerd some bits of driftwood would that be ok in a tropical set up if soaked not sure where it came from just been offered it thanks for your help regards phil

IMO i wouldn't add anything if you didn't know where it's come from, you can never be too sure.

true will see if they know where it came from but in principal can you put driftwood in a tropical tank ?

yea chuck it in!- just boil it and scrub it first. it cant do no harm, if you dont soak it will cause yellowy water from the tannings, however the tannings are benefitical to fish. if you dont like the look after you can remove with activated carbon in filter
