It seems to suit your 15g tank more. but it might be too big. I would put it in each tank and see which you prefer!

it fits in both fro m the outside.

how can i prevoke the tannins out all at once?boil it?

Boil it in water for 20mins, and then leave it in water over night. In the morning, check if the water you left it in is yellowish. If so, clear the water and put more in, let it sit for another night or less, if theres more tannins in the water, do it again, and again...

I say 3 nights max unless its very bad! The tannins then shouldnt have a big impact on your tank.

Dont forget to scrub it clear of dirt before putting it in the aquarium.

Good luck (i say its worth the wait unless you want yellow water!)

To me the wood would be unnatural looking in the first tank since it's pretty much a rock reef, plus all those fish come from an environment where you'll find no wood. In addition, if it's a soft wood it could fight the ph, which is better off high in that first tank.

ihave a small amount of arogonite in there so its up pretty good

It isn't a debate, it's a suggestion. Since the aragonite will balance any affect the wood will have, it's a personal choice of yours. If you think the would would add to a rocksaped aquarium, then use it. You can't really ask other people questions regarding your personal taste.
