I will be getting some platys soon, and was wondering whether I can feed dried daphnia as a staple food, with flakes occasionally, instead of all flakes. This is because flakes are expensive, well, more pricey than dried daphnia. Thankee.

Frozen daphnia would be better it a water flea and good for fish as it helps them digest there food, also I would suggest some frozen bloodworms.

What about a small amount of flakes and a small amount of daphnia together, with the occasional feeding of blood worms. Daphinia are like apples to us, fibre to help with the toilet routine :D .

I will obviosly feed frozen sometimes, I was wondering about feeding dried daphnia instead of flakes. Because as I said, it is £1.25 for a tub of dried dapnia but £3 ish for flakes.

my fish don't eat daphnia
i have rams, bettas, guppies

none of them would eat the daphnia so i don't think i'll be feeding it to them again

I use both freezedried and frozen, mine don't care for it much, but I would advise you have it in a fish diet, could make it there first meal of the day when they are hungry.
