Dreaded Columinaris

mmhmm best Q/T them for now. Then Strip the tank dwon and clean it so flea does'nt get it. :good:

If this fish was in your main tank, with your cories make sure you teat them to even if they don't show signs. Treat main tank, seperate the ill and quartine for 14 days! This strain is both internal and external parasite and should always be looked at and treated like that. Salt baths help ease the pain and draw the fluids out, also a good med will definitly have to be used, especially in your main tank. Usually when cories get this its to late when you notice, I find its best just to treat them if there is a outbreak in the tank it puts peace of mind on hand! Just remember to remove activated carbon when treating

cories and whole tank was treated :good:

treated the girls tank too (says you can for new fish to avoid anything) and Lippy is 99% better :hyper:

Lippy is due her water change today, but all her fins are up and growing back, happiest I have ever seen her.

i used mytaxin...myaxzin... or summat along those lines....the blue stuff!!

Wow, well done Haych!

I've never successfully treated this disease so I am really impresed that both fish are recovering well.

It's a horrible disease. I've always had the "kills in 12-24 hours" strain. UGH.

thank you :D

i think its cause i spotted it pretty quick, but tbf i did not think Lippy would make it, as she was ill for a few days before the marks appeared so i did not know what was wrong.

i have had it before, and it took my fish out really quick. one guppy lasted around 3-4 days, but my betta lasted around 12 hours

:D yay!! im glad they are doing better. thats awesome haych!
