Hi guys. How do you work out what flow goes through what size drain i.e if i have a 16mm hole drilled in the bottom of the tank what flow will be going through it. What size are you guys using?

That's really small... That would PROBABLY lead to a 1/2" bulkhead which can handle up to 300gph worth of flow. Not really all that much. What size tank has this small bulkhead?

The place i am looking at getting my tank from does drilling aswell so it wil be easier than an overflow box. I am just trying to figure out what flow rate goes through what size hole i.e 1/2", 1" etc

Well, a rough "table" for ya. This is for drain diameter size, not necessarily the bulkhead hole itself... For example, a 1" bulkhead requires a 1.5" hole in the glass and drains 600gph

0.5" - 200gph
0.75" - 300gph
1.0" - 600gph
1.5" - 1300gph
2.0" - 2400gph

So say i go with the 0.75" drain, do i use the same size hole for the return or just whatever size the outlet of the return pump is? The return pump im using is an Ocean Runner 2500 wich at about 4ft has around 1700 liters flow with an outlet size of o.75"

Yup, when used in a controlled manner (most often injected into a skimmer) Ozone helps break down organic molecules into forms that a skimmer can remove that would have otherwise remained in the water column. As Superman says, it tends to remove organic molecules that "stain" the water giving it a slightly yellow appearance. Often the aquarist doesn't even know his/her water is dirty until you start using Ozone and see its effects. Furthermore, Ozone breaks down organic molecules that could otherwise be used by bacteria to create nitrates and phosphates, ultimately leading to algae blooms.

Do take care though, Ozone dosed haphazardly can be exceptionally dangerous to both your fish and YOU, so if anyone does decide to use it, take care in doing so.

I'd go with a size or two larger than what you really need, gives you more flexibility that may be needed in the future.
