is it normal that young dps will reject food... with no signs of illness other than being realy skinny?
i found one of mine dead this moring so i imediatly tested the water....

nitrate 20 ppm
nitrite 0 ppm
ph 7.2

the gH and KH were quite highe on the scale... but its always been like this and all my fish r fine with it?

the fish that dies was a 1 cm dp and it refused frozen blood worm and snails. i didnt have the time to get live food... just kept trying frozen

sorry if this is in wrong section, they're not brackish but there no section for them???

Try the Oddballs section ;)

If your DPs are very skinny it is more than likey they have Internal Parasites - IPs.
They will need to be wormed (I recommend Wormer Plus if in the UK which is readily available online).

If you haven't had the DPs long then it is quite normal for them not to eat for a little while and this can exaggerate the problem of the IPs, thus leaving them more vulnerable to dying :(

I'd definately get them wormed asap and see how they go :)

the othe doesnt seem to show and signs of illess

the one that die sulked around for a few days
ill get some on sat when i got to my lfs

I can only vouch for Wormer Plus and you can only buy it online unless you live near Plymouth Discus?

I know this to work and it doesn't destroy the good bacteria in your filters like some meds can :)
