So, I'm going to uni and have given up my fish tanks, but must admit, I miss them already . I was thinking of setting up a DP tank at uni (small e.t.c.) however it would mean they'd have to 'come home' with me once-twice a year... and to be honest, I won't get 'em if this will just be plain harsh to the DPs themselves... so, I guess the question is, is it alright?

Thanks

Will you have to take them out of their tank and into another tank or just bringing the whole tank back and forth?

Ya know, I never thought of that. I guess I could always keep a fish tank permanently cycled at home.

Though from what I'm thinking myself, it'll probably just be harsh to the little guys either way *sigh*

I would actually think it should be fine provided uni isn't too far away. Just take the filter media with you when you go home and set it up in whatever tank you have there. I wouldn't think there would be a problem, I mean it's twice a year, not twice a week or something. If you're flying I could see problems though. But I don't see why you couldn't make it work if you were just driving a few hours.

If uni is a few hours away and you are driving and only keeping them in a small tank...... why not just take the tank? You can simply drain most of the water and bag the little puffs :good:
