hey i spent most of my evening netting up fry that were dozy!!!! i mean most fry escape or freak out when a net comes near em. but these were sooo dopey that getting them in a net was hardwork.

Why are they sooooo dozy????? are they ill or just tired from birth?

What were water stats in the tank.

Just tired from birth I think, My first lot were born the other day and most of them sat on or round the bottom of the breeding net for 4-12 hours afterwards

Katchan

My swordtail fry tend to hit the gravel and stay there pretty much motionless as long as there are any adults in sight for the first day or two. Unless you're checking for them all the time it's real easy to miss a birth. After the first couple days they start venturing up and about. It's not easy to catch them at either stage, in the first stage they'll bury themselves as soon as you try to net them and you know about the fast swimming stage!

Did you move them to their own tank or a breeder trap? They'll probably be fine.
