 Ok so I'm computer illiterate. Can anyone help me please? Got a lovely digital pic of my frontosa which I've downloaded onto 'my documents'. Have followed instructions in the pinned article but I can't find MS paint (we're windows 98). It's not on the top bar when on fish forums. Sorry guys, :*)

Hi I can recommend a simple little program http://www.picturetray.com/download.htm

I personally use Photoshop. But for simply resizing pics and making the file size smaller this is great.

You just drag and drop the images you want to resize into the left and choose the size, then drag and drop the results in the right box back into my documents.

 Just my luck! www.picturetray is offline getting a new server. Arrrrg

I agree

I use irfanview to edit all my websites pictures to size along with the sharpen option and works great. Only use photoshop when i need to put my logo on as a layer.

As for mspaint its in your programs / accesories.

I don't use any of the above  .

Do this, 'cos its really simple.....

RIGHT CLICK on your saved pic
Select EDIT (Microsoft Paint then automatically opens)
Select IMAGE from the tool bar
Select STRETCH/SKEW
Key in what size you want to reduce your pics to (i.e. overwrite 100% to 50%)
Save image again.

Done!!

EDIT: Also open up an account here to host your pics....

If you have irfanview you just click on the picture and it will default into irfanview, then choose image then resize/resample. Click on radio button if you want a default size or type one in, then save.

Just as easy and probably faster.

Plus you have a lot more enhancment options under the image menu lol.

The program is totally free and there is plugins too for other options.

mspaint works but not as nice.

Also if you are in irfanview and are doing multiple pictures that are in a folder just hit the leftor right arrow and the next picture in the folder will load up unlike those other programs where you have to keep going to file and load or openeing them manually.

I love irfanview and is one of my favourite free programs that I put on all the systems I build for my clients along with avg :)

Saves me lots of time since I do like 60 pictures at a time and easy to do enhancments too like sharpen or control the brighteness and colour schemes or even simple things like remove red eye.

Lots of options.
