Hey guys,

Just an update of the opti nanos, the one on the left has been running for a while and has now matured, and the one on the right just recently setup and planted.

These were setup just to keep my cherries, the right tank will be to separate the nicest colours, that's the plan for now.

Also brilliant. If my cherry shrimp tank turns out half as good ill be made up!

amazing tanks, how big are they? it says nano, but the tanks lok to be at least 20 gallons to me. also why do you have ferns in the filters, and what type of ferns are they?

Thanks guys, the tanks are only 15l, 30wx25dx20h cm. Not sure what the ferns are called, one was purchased in IKEA just said fern others from local garden centre and can't remember the names! lol

Any particular reason the fern's in the filter?

You must have a pretty good camera to make 15L look so big!

No reason, just looks good in my opinion, also will help with filtration to some extent.
Photos are taken with a Panasonic compact camera or a very old Konica-Minolta 5D
Cheers :)

Very cool setup! Love the idea of the ferns in the filters. Kinda gives it a tropical, almost natural overall setting. Nice job!

I'd love to know what those ferns are!!
One was purchased in IKEA a couple of years back the larger fern! the other larger plant on the right hand tank was purchased at Kew Gardens, no label can't remember what its called.
Then there are another 3 in there Asplenium Scolopendrium, Asplenium Scolopendrium Angustifolia and Dryopteris Erythrosora, these last 3 are not doing to great at the moment and started to melt, don't think they like roots constantly in the water.
