Just want to know if I should be dosing ferts seperate i'm using dry powders and dosing KNO3 (nitrate), KH2PO4 (phosphate) and a trace mix 3 times a week now i'm wondering if I should be dosing the KNO3 1 day then the next do the other 2 and keep rotating instead of doing them all on the one day???

Also i've started to get abit of green algae on the glass and driftwood of my tank and am wondering how to solve the problem i've got DIY Co2 running and 24watts of light, i'm pretty sure the algae only just started coming up since i've been opening the window in the room that the tank is in every couple of days so i'm thinking thats whats caused it. So if that is the problem how do I stop it should I turn the lights down to 1 tube so theres only 5watts when the window is open or what??

Edit: just noticed theres a few brown spots aswell.

Dose the KNO3 and the KH2PO4 on the same day. Dose the trace the next day. The algae is due to lack of phosphate so up it a bit more. Alternatively it could be down to lack of water changes causing undetectable ammonia to increase.
When you say "opening the window" are you referring to light coming in? Or outside air coming in?

Never thought of the water changes I have neglected that abit :)

By opening the window I mean light coming in.
