Dosin Macro Nutrients

alright so i am buying macro nutrient potassium nitrate for increased nitrogen and potassium
is this good?
i still cant dose co2 because i dont have the money for it
the lighting will stay aroung 1.8 wpg
i dont have any macrodosing and i thought it was time

KNO3 is fine
phosphate also comes under as a macro nutrient too (KH2PO4)

i dont have a test kit for phosphates, so i dont know what the levels are

You don't need a test kit to know the levels, you can work them out buy dosing so many grams of powder.

Potassium Nitrate - 40g to 500ml of water and adding 10ml per 100L of water would give you a value of 5ppm.
Potassium Phosphate - 15g to 500ml of water and adding 5ml per 100L of water would give you a value of 1ppm.

well my nitrate are at 3ppm right now, and the need to be around 15 right?
i was noticing that the effects of low nitrate are what are affecting my plants

yep, phosphate should be around 1-2ppm

i dont think my plants are affected by phosphate but i will but some just in case

no, nitrates and phosphate do not cause algae.
