Your fish decides to help you gravel vac... NOT!!!

Rusty doing his fruit at the gravel vac today, made cleaning his tank impossible as he was making more mess!

Ha Ha, the funny thing is if you tried to catch him in the net he would hide and be hard to get.

I don't have the problem with Oscars (at least not when I had them) but my male jack makes cleaning impossible as they almost always have babies, and when i am scraping algae of the glass, he bites me

Our oscar hates being cleaned out so much, he lunges at me making horrible faces just at the sight of me with the gravel cleaner, bucket or hose

Mine would lay on the bottom of the tank like he was dying for hours after a water change lol. Man, I can't wait to get my 120g back up so I can get oscars again

lol, ours used to do that, but now he'd rather attack everything

Rusty makes faces when I get the buckets etc out by his tank, usually followed by spitting huge mouthfulls of gravel at the glass. He always was so good till recently :( he would lie on the bottom and move when I needed to do under him. Since he has lost his tankmate he has turned into Mr Nasty!, unless its an age thing as he has just turned 2.

Someone said to me that when Oscars reach a certain age, they can have a huge personality turnover. I dont know how true that is though.

I have read the same thing, so I am guessing it is true for some oscars, I think that is why so many get re-homed free to collector, people dont want a fish thats going to attack at water change time. I was told its the males that get more bolshy, how true it is I dont know either,
