Hey,
Just out of interest, what have people found their fastest growing fish are?

In my tanks I would have to say the Gib by miles (he must of doubled in size in about 3 months) then the Talking Cat then somewhat of a suprise to me the java loaches.

Don't know why I want to know really, I just like it when you don't realise how big they have got until you go to a LFS and all the fish look tiny compared to yours. (Obviously I don't take them with me, I just mean from memory)

I just read this though it sounds a little paternal... Never mind.

Cheers

well you know , fry doubles the size in 1-2 weeks :)
so i guess my betta fry are better than yours (which boulbe the size in 3 months) lol

My pacu grows the fastest of all the fish I've seen. I bought it at four inches in length in May '06 and it was a foot long in August '06 just four months later. That's about two inches per month. But, if you consider it will (hopefully) get longer than two feet, that may not be so impressive.

OO! OOO! I just remembered I did some farming trials with Tilapia, those things grow like wild fire and can survive nuclear blasts and stuff.

Before I get too much grief, the trials were to help africans with renewable food sources, we were not spaying them with joop! to see what happened or anything.

My red tailed shark, when I first got her she was like 3 inches but now shes 8 inches long. Also my new clown pleco. I just got him at the end of august and he was about 2 inches long and hes 3 inches long now. :D

Did you mean red-tailed black shark or red-tailed catfish? If it is a RTBS, any chance you could post a pic of it? I've never had one grow beyond four inches! An 8 inch RTBS must be gorgeous!
