Hey guys i was looking in one of my newer fish tanks. I was what looked like to be a snail? I did not put any sanils in there. Any help will not be tanken forgranted.

These snails are littlie and blackish/brownish.

I got some of those come in on my plants. You must have some live ones then.

I don't know. I mean i did not put them in the fishtank it scares me because i ask my girlfreinds dad and he said i should take the tings out right away befor they take of my tank.!! :/

Hi SworDTail KeePer :)

Most likely they are just little pond snails. Often they, or their eggs will come in on live plants. In general, they are harmless and many people consider them just another interesting inhabitant of their aquarium.

The only time they reproduce enough to take over the tank, is when there is an overabundance of uneaten food, left over from the fish. To avoid this problem, do not overfeed the fish and keep the gravel well vacuumed.

If you do wish to remove them, it's best to pick them out by hand and dispose of them. Never use any of the chemical prepations sold for this purpose. :D

Thanks inch. I don't think i want them i my tank but i will think about them i might let them stay if they can behave themself, and not eat any of my fish. lol i know they won't eat my fish.
Thanks for the info again Inch. :flex:
