Don't Know If My Indian Glassfish Is Eating!

I had one fancy guppy in my 8 gallon Biorb and last weekend added another fancy guppy and a little indian glassfish. My method of feeding them is to feed guppies their flake food, and while they are busy at the surface eating that, I use an eye-dropper to feed the glassfish frozen brine shrimp at the lower level where he is. I haven't, however, seen the glassfish actually eat - it's possible he has eaten some in areas of the aquarium where he was obscured from my view, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with the idea that he could be starving. He looks fine and active so far. When the guppies are done at the surface, they'll swim down and eat any floating brine shrimp.

Any thoughts?

Also, I've read that one doesn't feed fish more than they can eat in 5 minutes; also I've read that one flake is like eating a porkchop. My guppies are done eating in no more than 3 minutes, and that's more than one flake each. (and what does one consider "a flake" as there are many sizes as they are shaken from the container).

BTW, while I was cycling the tank I fed the one guppy every other day and continued to do so until adding these 2 fish. Since I've been concerned about the glassfish not eating, I've been feeding a lesser amount every day.

Again, any thoughts???

if you cycled the tank with a guppy in, then it's possible that when you increased the bio load by adding 2 new fish the tank has started to cycle again. if the water stats are off then this could be why the galssfish is not eating.

can you post your water stats for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and Ph please?

Thanks for answering! My biorb was cycled for about 3 weeks before I introduced the two new fish - ammonia/nitrite/nitrate are all zero and have remained at those levels with these additions; pH (just tested) is blue (aack, I can't find the color indicator).

I actually saw a tiny piece of brine shrimp float right by him (Of course, I said "do you need GLASSES?" which he found to be sarcastic and unhelpful.)
