Yes it's normal, especially for bottom dwelling fishes and for fish that eat dry food from the surface.
Bottom dwelling fish will take in air to help with their buoyancy in the water. They swallow air from the surface and it travels through their digestive tract until it is farted out.
When fish take dry food from the surface they take in a little bit of air and this travels through their digestive tract until it is farted out. If the fish swallows too much air, they often have trouble swimming down and will float back up to the surface. When this happens a lot of people freak out and think the fish has a swim bladder problem. The fish does not and when it farts the air out the fish swims normally again.
