Doesnt Like The Airstone?

Hiya. About 20minutes ago i put an airstone in my betta tank its on very low. But my betta shimmer seems to be staying on the other half of the tank and hiding inside all the floating plants, i dont know if he doesnt like it or is just worried to think what it is.
Hes just hiding now what should i do?

If it was me I would give it a few hours just to see if he gets used to it being there as its something new....
If he still doesnt move in 4-5 hours then take it out and see if he moves around more

BTW this may not be right but its just a suggestion as thats what I would probably do

I would give him a little more time. Maybe a day. It's a new thing in his enviroment, he needs to get used to it.

being a curious fish, he might just be observing it for now. give it a FEW days to get used to and see if he changes behavior. i have a boy that hid when i put in a diy sponge filter, now one of his favorite games is to play in the bubbles (and then flare at them). give it a while and see how it goes.

I reluctant of to take it out or not.
My betta (Shimmer) doesnt seem himself with it in but i cant tell!
Hes now near it but doesnt seem to be like all over it.

No no you need to leave it in there for literally days. He should get used to it. If he hasn't after a week then tke it out.

Try getting some suction cups so you can put it under the gravel. It looks cool.

Actually hawkins i do have suction cups their holding the tube down but when its under the gravel with the suction cups but it still pops up.

This is beacause suction cups do not work on gravel/sand. They're designed to stick to glass and other smooth surfaces.

couldnt you hollow out the substrate next to the glass, attach the suction cups tp the glass then cover it back up with the substrate? that should work.
