I'm confused.
Just before Christmas we purchased a new lighting system for our Jewel 150 aquarium (the first one packed up after 2 years, so was obviously out of warranty). However, the replacement only worked for three weeks - so we took it back and had to wait a further three weeks for the replacement which we picked up today. We asked for a new warranty dated with today's date (for the lights which we picked up today) but the lfs said that the warranty was dated for the lights which we bought before Christmas .
I would have thought we should have had a new warranty dated for today's purchase - not one dated for before Christmas? Is this legal?
