Does This Look Like Dropsy To You And What To Do?

Help! this literally came up over night, he seems the only fish affected.
The only thing that I have done to the tank is add Co2 could this cause this??
I understand that if it is Dropsy then chances are he is already buggered which would be a shame cos I've had him ages.
My Quarantine tank presently is holding fry........ WHAT SHALL I DOOO? HELP!!!!!!!!

Sorry These are fairly cr@ppy photos he still moves around fairly fast.
Its a Filament Barb (or a false filament barb I was told the other day).
I did notice one scale coming loose about three days ago.

Hmm in the second picture I can see scales protruding on his belly. I think it is dropsy, which is normally due to kidney failure. A failed organ is almost impossible to fix unfortunately.

Could possible be? Can you get a picture from the top at all?

If so dropsy is hard to treat however, you could try Maracyn 2 as it says it helps treat Dropsy.

Also if you need a quick hosptil tank, you can use rubbermaid containers or type of plastic container. Many members on here do it and works great in a pinch and it's cheap.
