I am hopefully buying a 5ft tank in the next few days (damn you ebay making me poor :grr: )

There is no way I can afford the MH lighting for the tank but this should be ok for what I need. Also does anyone know any good UK sites for stuff in general as I'm starting from scratch with the tank

These lights look fine and will certainly do the job.

However, you can get metal halide lowbays for half that price. They dont look as nice but do exactly the same job as normal halides. I have seen peoplemake nice hoods to hide these lights and then they cannot be seen at all!

If thats not for you then these lights will do fine for most corals

Where can I get them from?? Obviously I want the best lighting I can afford and ideally I'd get MH even if I didn't really need them as I'd rather not have to upgrade in the future. I am getting a bargain with the tank tho......

They are known as aquabays.

Aquabays

Here is a piccy with my own 400w and 2x 150w aquabays.

Thanks:good:

I have been outbid so I'm deciding whether to up my bid or just wait till I actually have enough room for a big tank.

My original plan was for an 8ft tank but I really don't have room so I've scaled down to a 6.5ft instead. I would have used the 5ft as a sump eventually :)
