Does This Decor Item Look Safe For A Betta's Fins?

I wouldn't get anything like that personally. Smooth rounded things yes. I had my first betta in a 30L biorb that had a bonsai tree ornament covering the bubble tube. My bettas fins started fraying on that even though I'd taken the leaves off it :(

I tend to stick to smooth pebbles and wood with anubias plants on (as can be seen in my baby biorb). Much safer for those delicate fins :D

Okay. Glad I didn't buy it. . .

I also like the look of really big smooth rocks. The only problem is my girl betta is so difficult to find in the tank as is. She is microscopic! lol So the rocks will overpower her. Ugh! Right now she has one plastic plant. That is it! My other bettas are bigger. Maybe it would be a good idea to get big rocks and some plants for them since they are right out in the open. Maybe kind of layer than with medium rocks?

I also looked at moss balls, but the only store that sells them, charges $8.00 (US per ball!).

Wow that's expensive! My LFS here does sell them for £4 each which might work out about the same, but a company called CornishCrispa does 10 for £10 on Evilbay. I have ordered some for my new boy :D I love them and have them in all my fw tanks. My fancy goldies like booting them around their tanks with their noses before having a nibble
