Does My Acei Have A Disease?

my sister found my acei in my tank with most his fins ripped up and him not swimming well.
i now have him in a 10 gallon quarantine i cloned a few weeks ago.his fins are still ripped up but on his sides it looked like he had little white peices of flesh torn all along him.the fleshy things arent there anymore but he swimms from side to side a little.like he turns on his sides but not completly level.he also swims in circlesalot.his fins have also lost a little coloration and they are shredded.
whats wrong?

Sounds like the other fish are possibly having a go at him and if he is weak he wont stand a chance with other Malawis.

Probley better off in the african cichlid section, thats what its there for after all

i was more wondering if hes doing this due to disease or just because he got owned

im going to try to treat it with melafix because near its tail ther are a whole bunch of little white things.lloks like skin rather than scales.
